Precautions for adjustable pedestals during construction

adjustable pedestal is installed on the waterproof layer of the ground to support the stone, and only serves as an overhead stone in the pool, which can facilitate the pre embedding of pipelines and later repair and maintenance. So what should be noted when using a adjustable pedestal during construction?

1. Use a spirit level to level the adjustable pedestal to a horizontal plane, ensuring the overall level of the stone surface.

2. Communicate with the manufacturer in advance whether it is necessary to walk on the stone. adjustable pedestals come in different models according to different routes. If walking is required, reinforced supports with more materials and higher load-bearing capacity need to be purchased to ensure pedestrian safety.

3. To prevent water seepage, the waterproof layer needs to be made according to strict specifications.

(1) The surface of the base layer should be flat, solid, rough, and clean. The cement mortar waterproof layer requires the surface to be fully moist and free of accumulated water.

(2) The waterproof layer of cement mortar mixed with additives must be laid in two layers, regardless of whether it is on the upstream or downstream surface. The surface should be polished and the total thickness should not be less than 20mm.

(3) The consistency of cement mortar should be controlled between 70-80mm, and when there is less water, the mortar should be mixed and used immediately.

(4) At the internal and external corners of the structure, rounded corners should be made, with a general radius of 50mm for internal corners and 10mm for external corners.

The construction joints of the waterproof layer should have a stepped slope shape, and should be constructed continuously according to the sequence of layer operations, with tightly overlapping layers. The location for leaving a mark should generally be on the ground or on the wall, but it must be 200mm away from the corners of the yin and yang.
